Sol Invictus

Sol Invictus ‎* Mr Cruel (7″ 2013)

I did not order this 7″ and yet I got it. Instead of returning it, I decided to just wait a bit and sell my one-of-500-copies for an enormous amount of money! I have no idea if this is going to be a cult item though… There is one very typical Sol Invictus song and a very strange one. Neither sound all that interesting to me, but then again, I am not a big Sol Invictus fan. I do like small vinyls though, so I am not totally unhappy with. Now you all… start bidding.

Sol Invictus * The Giddy Whirl Of Centuries (2cd 2002 tursa)

Aha, finally a ‘best of’ cd by Sol Invictus. It is strange with this band, some tracks I love, some tracks I hate and this resulted in me never buying any of their material. Now there is this cheap 2cd with almost all their great tracks and only a few not too great ones. The first cd is chronological, the second also a little. The second cd mostly contains songs with a lot of violin by Matt Howden. There are tracks from almost every album, from “Lex Taliones” (1990) to “Thrones” (2002). From dreamy neofolk to a few industrial and gothic tracks. Mostly wonderful!
