It looks like I missed the 7″ version of this release. Now it is added to the band’s Bandcamp so you can buy a download. I suggest you do! “Papist Pretender” is TxRxP at its best. The opening track with its dark vocals and slowly pounding beats reminds a bit of Mental Destruction. Lateron Ekelund proves that things can get even slower, dirtier and darker. The most remarkable track is a cover of The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud; of course untitled, but when I say: “into the dark night, follow a true light”, I am sure you will know what song we are talking about. Where the TMLHBAC version is relatively light and happy, Trepaneringsritualen turned it into a horror soundtrack.
Yep, TxRxP again proves to be one of the more interesting artists in the current industrial scene.
