After a fast and violent opening, Barber puts the break on his film and in slow and beautiful scenes we follow the old man Harry Brown (Michael Caine) living in a UK suburb terrorised by drug-dealing youth. After loosing the last two people close to him, Brown decides to take things into his own hands. The story of “Harry Brown” is not very original, nor is the portrayal of the state of society, but as a film, this one is pretty good. Great camera work, a very depressive and good atmosphere, good acting. “Harry Brown” is a tough criticism on where society is going to.
