Krister is a bunt oud man living his life as a robot, completely stressing himself out. We follow him in the worst day of his life. Ganslandt managed well to convey the stress to the viewer and however the story of “The Ape” is straightforward, you have to think about the situation a few times, since it is quite ‘far out’. Actually anything more that I will say about the story gives it away. “Apan” is a thriller, but not one of those hip action thrillers. Also it is fast without becoming hip. In fact, it is more one of those darker films that they make well in the North. The film is not terribly good, but interesting and quite original in setup.
