I got this film together with “Diabel“, for the delay I think. The seller probably thought that I am interested in old, Polish films, while I actually hoped to see some kind of “Possession“. “Young Girls Of Wilko” is but a 80’ies drama, nothing more, nothing less. The story about a young man who returns to the village he grew up is alright. Old sentiments are stirred in the minds of the people Wiktor left when he went to war and new sentiments arise. The acting is good, the filming is (though typical for the time) is well. But of course this is just the kind of film that your mother watches on television on a Wednesday evening.
